NEW! Interactive Map (Beta Version)
Welcome to Connect Ohio’s interactive web mapping application—BroadbandStat. Here you can explore Connect Ohio’s broadband coverage. In addition, you will soon be able to use BroadbandStat to access the latest research about broadband adoption barriers across the state.

The data contained within this map are currently in beta version. The map will continuously improve in accuracy as the data are validated through public feedback, field verification, and the participation of more service providers.
Also,
you may request the non-confidential data displayed in the maps. To request this data, please fill out the mapping data request form.
Note: The data contained in this map are currently in beta version and will be updated as we receive public feedback and more provider data. The data used to create the current version of this map is based on information provided by more than 92 participating Ohio broadband providers as of April 30, 2010 and Connect Ohio's 2008 Residential Technology Assessment.
This analysis is conducted through a geoprocessing tool that analyzes Census Block demographics with the aggregated broadband service overlay from the provider data. For more information about the methodology, please click here.
Providers: As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act,
this map will be periodically updated in compliance with the State Broadband Data and Development grant program with data from additional participating providers and when new service areas are identified. Connect Ohio wants to encourage all providers to participate. There is an informational page on the website for broadband providers.
BroadbandStat uses geographic information system (GIS) technology to enable a user to build and evaluate broadband expansion scenarios that incorporate data such as education and population demographics, and current broadband availability. Results are displayed on a web-based interactive map. The broadband-related data can be used for grant writing, broadband investment, economic development, and it gives all Ohioans the ability to find information about probable providers of high-speed Internet service, down to the street address level.
Connect Ohio recently gave a webinar to demonstrate the BroadbandStat program. You can view it here.
