Connect Ohio broadband stimulus data tools
BIP Grant Eligibility Map of Rural and Non-Rural Areas in Ohio
This is a statewide map displaying rural and non-rural areas as defined in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) and Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP). This is a useful tool for applicants submitting for broadband stimulus grants and loans . Click here to download for PDF.
Census Block level broadband data
This new addition to Connect Ohio's interactive online mapping tool is designed to provide interested BTOP and BIP grant program applicants in Ohio with Census Block level broadband data. This information is essential to applicants in identifying areas of eligibility under the grant programs funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
To identify a Census Block
For more detailed instructions, click here.
- On the toolbar, click the Identify tool.
- In the map display, click on a location within the Census Block you want to identify. An identify icon will be placed on the map at the location selected. After a few moments, an entry for the location will appear in the Results section.
- Expand the result by clicking the plus sign. This displays the Census Blocks layer that had features identified.
- Expand the Census Blocks layer to display the ID of the selected Census Block.
- Expand the ID to get more information on the selected Census Block, including the total number of households in the Census Block, the number of served households, and the number of unserved households.
Note: Totals of served and unserved households may not equal the total number of households in the Census Block due to rounding.
Census Block Level Broadband Data
Provides data about the number of households that are served and unserved within census blocks.
